How We Handle Your Information

Who we are

Western Slope AI is operated by David McElyea through 2 Plank Solutions, based in Gunnison, Colorado. This policy applies to westernslopeai.com and its related website pages, including our staging site.

This policy covers website visits, inquiries, assessment requests, and appointment scheduling. Handling of information within a client project may also be governed by a separate service agreement.

Information you provide

When you complete a contact or assessment form, email us, or schedule a meeting, we collect the information you provide. This may include your name, email address, phone number, business name, website, scheduling details, and information about your business processes or the help you are seeking.

Please provide only the information needed for your inquiry. Do not include passwords, payment-card details, sensitive personal information, or confidential customer or employee records in website forms.

Information collected during website visits

Our website, hosting infrastructure, and security services may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages requested, referral information, and access times. We use this information to operate the website, diagnose problems, prevent spam, and protect against unauthorized activity.

Analytics and advertising tools may also collect information about pages viewed, interactions, device or browser identifiers, and how you arrived at the website, as described below.

How we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries, evaluate workflow challenges, prepare assessments and recommendations, schedule and manage meetings, communicate about requested services, and maintain business records. We also use website activity information to understand how the site is used, improve its content, measure advertising results, and support relevant advertising where those features are enabled.

Forms, email, and scheduling

Our website forms use Gravity Forms within WordPress. Form submissions may be stored in our website database and delivered to us by email. Our hosting and email providers process information as part of delivering those services.

We use Cal.com for appointment scheduling. When you book a meeting, your booking details are processed through Cal.com and connected calendar services, including Google Calendar, to arrange the appointment and send related confirmations or reminders. See the Cal.com Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy for information about those services.

AI-assisted review and recommendations

We may use OpenAI’s ChatGPT Business to summarize inquiries, review assessment information, and help prepare recommendations or responses. Information you submit may be included in that processing, so OpenAI may process it on our behalf.

OpenAI states that inputs and outputs from ChatGPT Business are not used to train its models by default. This does not mean the information is never stored or processed; its handling is governed by the applicable business terms and workspace settings. More information is available on OpenAI’s business privacy page.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Our website and service providers may use cookies or similar technologies for website functionality, security, analytics, and advertising.

We use Google Analytics to understand website traffic and interactions. It may use cookies and collect browser or device information and website activity. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. Learn more about how Google uses information from partner websites.

We use Google Ads and Meta advertising tools, such as the Meta Pixel, to measure campaign performance and, where enabled, support remarketing or personalized advertising. These tools may transmit page visits, interaction events, and browser or device identifiers to Google or Meta. Those providers may connect this activity with other information they hold about you. See the Google Privacy Policy and Meta Privacy Policy.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although doing so may affect some website features. You can also manage advertising preferences through Google My Ad Center and Meta’s ad preferences, or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. These options have different scopes and may not stop all data collection.

How information is shared

Information may be processed by providers that support our website hosting, forms, email, calendar, scheduling, security, analytics, advertising, and AI-assisted work. The categories of information shared depend on the service: scheduling providers receive booking details, AI services may receive inquiry or assessment content, and advertising providers receive website activity and identifiers.

We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, address fraud or security incidents, or respond to lawful requests.

We do not sell inquiry or assessment information for money. Sharing website activity with advertising providers may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or processing for targeted advertising under some privacy laws, depending on the configuration and the law that applies.

How long information is retained

We retain inquiry, assessment, and scheduling records for as long as reasonably needed to respond to your request, provide services, maintain relevant business records, and meet legal or security needs. Retention varies by the type of information, our relationship with you, and the service used.

Technical logs, analytics records, and provider-held data are subject to their respective settings and retention practices. Copies may remain in backups after information is removed from active systems, until those backups expire or are replaced.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can contact us to ask what personal information we hold about you, request a copy, correct inaccurate information, or request deletion. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may also have rights to restrict certain processing or opt out of targeted advertising or certain disclosures.

Send requests through our contact page and identify the information or activity involved. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some records may need to be retained for legal, administrative, or security reasons. Provider-held information may also be subject to that provider’s own privacy-request process.

Security and processing locations

We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no website, email service, or online system can guarantee complete security. Our service providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate.

External links and embedded content

Our website may link to or embed content from other services, including booking tools or videos. Embedded content can allow its provider to collect information about your visit and use cookies or similar technologies. Other websites and services have their own privacy policies.

Children’s information

Our website and consulting services are intended for business owners and organizations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can address it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our website, services, or data practices change. The date at the top of this page identifies the latest revision.
